We will visit your home or workplace to consult on a cleaning programme that your cleaners, staff or family can follow. The programme includes designing the correct procedures and specifying the right products to be used.

Numerous touchpoints within homes or workplaces can harbor germs, bacteria and viruses.  They need to be cleaned properly and regularly to a strict program. We will design a rigorous cleaning program or schedule to be followed by our trained cleaners.

Reviewing your workplace involves assessing factors such as:

The number of employees

The type of work they do and the industry or sector they work in

Their movements around, in and out of the workplace

The environment/ work space

Risk management plans in place

Other factors also considered

The cleaning processes we follow are in line with (or above) the Department of Health’s recommendations in Australia.

Step 1: Clean
First, we’ll clean all surfaces and touchpoints removing dirt and contamination using alkaline/detergent and hot water. We will clean all hard and soft surfaces and items throughout the office. Cleaning doesn’t kill germs but is essential for disinfectants to work.

Step 2: Sanitise
We will sanitise the surface using industry-leading sanitisers to target any remaining virus, bacteria and contamination. We allow the sanitiser to dwell then we rinse or remove where required. The aim is to minimize the risk of germs spreading. We offer a range of sanitisation options depending on the type of workplace and situation.

Step 3: Protect (optional but recommended)
We will apply a microbial shield as a secondary sanitising and protecting agent designed to be left on surfaces. A microbial shield will keep killing 99.9% of germs for up to 30 days.

Step 4: Maintain (optional)
We will design a cleaning schedule or plan and perform maintenance cleaning.

There is an overwhelming amount of cleaning information publicly available. Although you might have the right information and the best intentions, there’s a risk. The advice might not be followed correctly by someone without training and experience. Or the person doing the cleaning might not be adequately protected.

For the safety of the people who work or live in your premises, it’s important that your cleaner knows how to properly handle disinfectants by wearing the correct safety equipment (including full-face respirators where necessary). Your cleaner needs to ensure disinfectants are used and removed correctly (especially when they are being used repeatedly and in settings such as childcare centres).
Decontamination/Medical and forensic grade cleaning also requires a multi-stage process to make sure that contamination isn’t left behind.
Finally, you must ensure the correct schedule is implemented afterwards to minimise risk. Touchpoints need to be cleaned regularly. If you’re not using a professional cleaning service, things could easily be missed.

You’ll have the comfort of knowing our trained team will be following our long-established process for medical and forensic cleaning. They will:

Make a thorough assessment of the premises to be cleaned
Advise you on the ways we’d recommend the job is completed, provide a scope of works and a quote.
Provide you with a full list of products that will be used on site and/or a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
Clean and sanitise your premises using the right techniques, equipment and products that have anti-microbial benefits
Pay great attention to detail, be reliable and keep you updated
Correctly use personal protective equipment and follow the right process. This is important especially when using certain sanitisers and specialty equipment.

Decontamination cleaning services including medical and forensic cleaning

Decontamination cleaning including medical and forensic grade cleaning is a service we have offered for as long as we’ve been in business. Our team is fully trained and has years of experience in the most difficult and critical cleaning jobs — including decontamination cleaning (e.g. after raw sewage spills).

We can clean and disinfect all types and sizes of properties whether residential or commercial across Sydney.

Be Sociable, Share!

If your home or workplace is contaminated by a virus or other health hazard (such as body fluid, bacteria or raw sewerage spills), call us and we can run you through our recommended cleaning or decontamination process.

We can instruct you on what  you should do immediately. That way you can minimize the risk of germs spreading before we arrive. During the call, we’ll set a time for us to come as soon as possible.

We cannot quote over the phone because we need to assess your hazard, your premises and environment. That way we can propose the best solution to clean and sanitise so the risk of germs and viruses spreading is minimized.

Pressure and Steam’s decontamination cleaning fact sheet for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by a new virus and can spread from person to person.
The virus spreads via:

Close contact with an infectious person
Invisible droplets in the air from an infected person’s cough or sneeze inhaled by people nearby
Touching objects or surfaces that have droplets from an infected person and then touching your eyes, nose of mouth.

Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses that have a protective fat layer. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has noted the antiviral effect of cleaning with soapy water. This is because soapy water dissolves the oily surface membrane of the COVID-virus, killing the virus.

For homes or healthcare facilities that are housing people with suspected or confirmed cases of Coronavirus, the WHO recommends using disinfectants that are active against enveloped viruses, such as COVID-19 and other coronaviruses.
The WHO recommends:

70% ethyl alcohol to disinfect reusable dedicated equipment (e.g., thermometers) between uses
Sodium hypochlorite at 0.5% (equivalent 5000ppm) for disinfection of frequently touched surfaces in homes or healthcare facilities
Any other info from aus gov or WHO ?

The WHO does not recommend using chlorine solutions because there is a risk that antimicrobial effects will be lost with exposure to sunlight or heat. Making and diluting chlorine also comes with a higher risk of hand or eye irritation and ill health effects. Also, people might need training to get the correct concentration.

The Australian Government’s Department of Health recommends that it is good practice to:

1. Routinely clean frequently touched surfaces with a detergent solution

2. Clean general surfaces and fittings when visibly dirty and immediately after any spills.
